This two-day portrait painting workshop will emphasize working in monochromatic oil wash or underpainting on the first day and a extended limited palette on the second day.  Working in oil wash will help enable an artist to first familiarize themselves with the oil medium, working on control of drawing, values and edges with the brush.  Working with an extended limited palette on the second day, students will master the mixing of color and control of color harmonies.  Instructor demonstrations on both days.

Materials list will be provided.  A list of local accomodations provided upon request.  Easels will be provided.
